Khodrocar - Details about exact specification are still being finalised, but expect the range-topping diesel Kodiaq to (very) closely mirror the specification of the Superb 206TSI Sportline launched last year.
The ($1000) package on that car brings a raft of sporty tweaks, including (but not limited to) a unique instrument binnacle, sport seats, a flat-bottom steering wheel, unique dash trim and a Volkswagen-sourced Performance Monitor to track lap times.
We’d imagine the same touches will make the jump to SUV life.
Outside, the Kodiaq will get sportier alloy wheels – likely measuring 19-inches as standard, with the option of 20-inchers – along with black highlights for the grille, door mirrors, window trim and roof rails. In spite of its name, the Sportline won’t gain any extra performance or handling gear – unless you count the (optional) Adaptive Dynamic Chassis Control system, of course.
Where the Sportline trim grade is offered across the Kodiaq 110TSI, 132TSI, 110TDI and 140TDI range in Europe, we get a smaller – 132TSI and 140TDI – lineup here in Australia. Skoda Australia has confirmed both models will be offered in Sportline trim.
The all-wheel drive range-topper makes 140kW of power and 400Nm of torque, and is priced from $48,990 in non-Sportline guise, while the 132TSI pumps out 132kW and 320Nm.
Pricing for the Sportline hasn’t been finalised, but the sportier Superb 206TSI is just $1000 more expensive than the regular car.
